Prohibited items

What you can't sell on PassOn
To keep PassOn safe and legal, some items must never be listed or sold. This list gives examples but is not exhaustive — if you're unsure whether something is allowed, don't list it. Listing a prohibited item will have the listing removed, and repeat or serious breaches may result in your account being suspended or permanently banned.
Weapons and dangerous items
• Firearms & ammunition — real guns, gun parts, and bullets. • Dangerous knives — any knife with a blade longer than 3 inches. • Explosives — fireworks, hazardous chemicals, and radioactive materials.
Drugs and medical goods
• Illegal substances — recreational drugs, and any item marketed for taking illegal drugs. • Prescription medications — any medicine or medical device requiring a doctor's prescription. • Unsafe food — expired foods, or unpasteurised dairy and juices.
Counterfeits and intellectual property
• Fake goods — knock-off clothing, unauthorised replica electronics, and pirated media. • Digital material — unauthorised copies of e-books, software, or media files.
Official and regulated items
• Government & police gear — real police badges, current uniforms, and government IDs. • Personal data — mailing lists, personal records, and financial account information. • Recalled goods — infant sleep positioners, defective child car seats, and other recalled consumer products.
Animals and restricted wildlife
• Live animals — most pets and livestock (with minor exceptions for certain insects). • Protected animal products — ivory, tortoise shell, and items from endangered species.
What happens if you break these rules
We remove prohibited listings as soon as we find them. Depending on how serious or repeated the breach is, we may also issue a warning, mute or suspend your account, or permanently ban you. Some prohibited items may also be reported to the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
